MAVİ ALL BLUE
The All Blue collection, a manifestation of Mavi’s All Blue sustainability strategy, consists of products made with responsibly sourced materials. The products in this collection feature one or more of the "preferred materials" that contribute to reducing environmental impact.
Preferred Materials used in the All Blue collection:
- Regenerative, organic and recycled, OCS1, RCS2 or regenagri3 certified cotton.
- TENCEL™ (modal and lyocell, Refibra lyocell) cellulosic fibers.
- Recycled or RCS2 certified polyester.
- Upcycled materials4 finding new life in products.
- The fiber and material content in the fabric blends is guided by Mavi’s quality-first design philosophy and product performance characteristics. Each product in the All Blue Collection is also 100% vegan (no animal-derived products are used), with FSC-certified paper5 used in the labels.
1 The Organic Content Standard (OCS) provides chain-of-custody verification for materials processed at a farm certified according to internationally recognized organic standards.
2 The Recycled Claim/Content Standard (RCS) sets the criteria applicable for third-party certification of recycled materials and their chain-of-custody.
3 As a regenerative agriculture initiative, regenagri aims at securing the health of the land and the wealth of those who live on it.
4 Reusing by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products to create a new item of higher value than the original material.
5 FSC-certified papers are obtained from renewable forests consisting of trees grown specifically for paper production.
Preferred Materials & Table
Mavi references Textile Exchange’s Preferred Fiber and Materials Matrix (PFMM) tool to guide its material choices. Textile Exchange* defines a preferred fiber or material as:
“A fiber or raw material that delivers consistently reduced impacts and increased benefits for climate, nature, and people against the conventional equivalent, through a holistic approach to transforming production systems.”
Textile Exchange’s “Preferred Fiber and Materials Matrix” (PFMM) tool is a resource designed to help identify “preferred” materials within various material categories. PFMM assesses materials against more than 80 environmental and social metrics, providing insights into their strengths and areas for improvement.
To enhance transparency, Mavi has developed a Preferred Materials Table that clearly outlines the materials used in the All Blue collection and the standards they meet. This table** aims to provide a better understanding of each material’s environmental and social impact.
* Textile Exchange is a global non-profit driving beneficial impacts on climate and nature across the fashion, textile, and apparel industry. The organization has developed a set of robust industry standards. Textile Exchange gathers and publishes critical industry data and insights, enabling brands and retailers to measure, manage and monitor their use of preferred fibers and materials.
**The Preferred Materials Table, based on Textile Exchange’s definitions, is regularly updated to reflect the latest scientific developments, best practices, and up-to-date information. While innovative fibers and materials are essential for achieving material targets, they must be clearly defined and validated before inclusion. Materials not yet assessed by Textile Exchange are incorporated into the matrix based on Mavi’s independent evaluations. Mavi designates materials as “Preferred Materials” when academic research and/or supplier statements confirm they have a lower environmental impact than conventional alternatives.

All Blue Collections Through The Years
Mavi Regenerative Jeans Collection
Spring/Summer 2024
- Aligned with Mavi’s mission of conserving and restoring nature, the Regenerative Jeans Collection is made from regenerative cotton, sourced through sustainable and restorative agricultural practices.
- Regenerative agriculture helps reduce carbon footprint by drawing carbon dioxide back into the soil while improving soil health, biodiversity, and productivity. By minimizing soil degradation, it supports nature’s renewal and promotes the responsible use of natural resources.
- All fabrics in this collection are regenagri® certified, demonstrating that the cotton is sourced from farms applying regenerative agriculture principles. The regenagri certification verifies compliance with rigorous agricultural standards and ensures full traceability of the raw materials.
- The regenerative cotton used in Mavi’s products are traceable across the entire supply chain, from the field to the store.
Mavi Natural Dye Collection
Spring/Summer 2023
- Offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable fashion, the Mavi Natural Dye Collection features fabrics dyed with natural clay, labels made from olive pits, buttons crafted from hazelnut shells, and recyclable trims.
- The collection’s colors are derived from a variety of plants such as olive leaves, lavender, indigo, oak, and walnut shells, as well as various natural clays.
- Clay is a naturally occurring material in distinctive earth tones. As a non-toxic material with antibacterial properties, clay used for dyeing the fabrics makes the Natural Dye collection gentle on the skin. With its unique crystalline structure, clay enhances fabric resistance to UV rays and, much like the earth itself, helps absorb negative energy.
- The collection incorporates bio-based back labels produced from olive pits and buttons crafted from nut shells, eliminating the use of metal buttons and rivets in the jeans.
- Recycled materials are preferred in all woven labels, threads and cardboard labels, which contain plantable basil seeds inside.
- The Mavi Natural Dye collection was named the “Best Sustainable Collection” at The Rivet x Project Awards.
Mavi Hemp Collection
Spring/Summer 2022
- The Mavi Hemp Denim Collection was created with hemp, a fiber that consumes the least amount of water, revolutionizing the future of sustainable fashion.
- Grown solely with rainwater and requiring no artificial irrigation, the hemp plant minimizes water use while offering higher yields than traditional cotton. This not only reduces environmental impact but also naturally supports soil biodiversity.
- With its natural antibacterial, antimicrobial, and biodegradable properties, hemp is cultivated without herbicides, pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or GMO seeds, improving soil health and preventing erosion.
- In addition to hemp, the collection incorporates recycled cotton, trims, and materials, as well as eco-friendly buttons made from hazelnut shells.
- Developed using comfort fabric technology, the products stand out not only for their sustainable features but also for their exceptional softness and comfort.
- The Mavi Hemp Collection was named the “Best Sustainable Collection” at The Rivet x Project Awards.
Mavi Pro Sport Repreve Collection
